Office Design, Refurbishment, Fitting and Furniture Case Study

As an emerging finance house, Eurofactor required a presence in Leeds and thus appointed ODAPS to assist them in designing and fitting out their new office. At the same time, another tenant of the building, Milners Solicitors, required a dedicated meeting suite and boardroom suit. Identifying shared requirements, the two companies teamed together to achieve economies in the fitting out of a common office area.

Eurofactors brief required a stylish office, large meeting room, store room and server room. Milners brief required two large meeting rooms, a boardroom and reception. Both companies wanted a high class specification within a limited budget. By being selective in the areas they were applied, ODAPS specified high quality glass partitions with full height oak veneer doors in solid oak frames to the office and meeting room fronts. To improve privacy and keep the project economical, the walls separating the rooms were of traditional stud partition construction.

In addition to the partitioning works, ODAPS also re-wired the lighting to provide each area with independent light switching. The entire floor area including new partitions were redecorated, including feature walls to the meeting rooms.

To finish the rooms, frosted manifestation was applied to the glass in a wave detail, incorporating each companies logo to the rooms. In the meeting rooms stylish barrel shaped tables were matched with Eames style ribbed leather chairs. To the office maple cantilever desks were installed with mesh backed operators chairs to create a contemporary appearance.

To complete the project a DDA compliant curved reception desk, featuring glass writing shelf and perforated metal upstand, was installed, together with Corbusier style leather waiting chairs. The overall appearance achieved the high quality and look both companies sought, and was delivered to budget.
