Docmans’ continued growth required the setting up of a new office. The brief called for a smart, functional and simple office fit out to the new building, with the refurbishment of their existing office to follow. The fit out work was to include the formation of individual offices and meeting rooms, with ancillary areas such as a reception, waiting rooms, staff rooms and a server room.
A combination of glass and plasterboard partitions were used to achieve the required combination of visual appeal and acoustic performance. Random width banding manifestation was applied to the glass to provide visual privacy with a sleek look. Alterations were made to the office lighting and new power and data were installed. Full redecorations and new floor finishes were undertaken in all office areas. ODAPS then installed all new office furniture including chairs and meeting tables to complete a turn-key service.
ODAPS then embarked on the office refurbishment to their existing building. To achieve this it was necessary to migrate a number of staff to the new building to clear an area to work in. The office refurbishment then followed with partitions, finishes and other works done to match the new building. This was completed in three phases, with each phases requiring the migration of staff to and from the old building. At the end of each phase the staff returned to a fully refurbished office including new office furniture.
Within the final phase a new boardroom was formed, including the installation of a 14 seat boardroom table complete with leather chairs. Incorporated within the boardroom table was a power and AV caddy with connections to a plasma TV. This phase also saw the refurbishment of the main staffroom, the provision of new kitchen units and the supply of vinyl flooring. All the works were successfully completed on time to suit a rapid programme and within a tight project cost framework.
